Hong Kong extradition protests continue

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

Police have fired rubber bullets and tear gas in Hong Kong at demonstrators amid anger at a new bill to allow extradition to mainland China. Professor Steve Tsang is the director of the China Institute at SOAS, University of London. He analyses why Hong Kong’s authorities have responded this way. Danish toy company Lego is seeking out ways to create its iconic brick out of a plant-based material, over concerns about environmental impact. Dave Shefcik from the website The Brothers Brick has been to Lego's headquarters to try out some of their prototypes. Plus we ask whether more governments should follow Bhutan's lead, and use the happiness of their citizens as a key measure of success, rather than economic growth. And as the biggest event for video games, E3, opens in Los Angeles we look at gaming's future, and we discuss concerns that gaming can be addictive. Throughout the show we’ll be joined by Alexander Kaufman of HuffPost in New York, and Yoko Ishikura, Professor Emeritus of Hitotsubashi University and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network, in Tokyo.
