Tusk: May's Chequers Plan Won't Work

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The European Council president has expressed scepticism about Theresa May's Brexit plan. We get analysis of the Salzburg EU summit from Roger Bootle of Capital Economics, and Professor Iain Begg of the London School of Economics. Also in the programme, as the trade war between China and the US intensifies, Beijing has indicated it may cut tariffs on products imported from its other trading partners. Duncan Clark is chairman of BDA, a consultancy that advises companies on doing business in China, and offers us his take on the idea. Nigeria's plans to relaunch its national airline have been suspended. The BBC's Africa business correspondent in Lagos, Damilola Ade-Odiachi, tells us whether the idea is ever likely to take off. Plus we pay a visit to London's own city vineyard. (Picture: Donald Tusk. Picture credit: Reuters.)
