US Tariffs a 'Dangerous Game' Says EU

World Business Report

Available for over a year

President Trump's tariffs could have serious consequences, the EU's trade chief says. BBC economics correspondent Andrew Walker brings us reaction to the tariffs from around the world. Also in the programme, Mariano Rajoy has stepped down as prime minister of Spain, to be replaced by Pedro Sanchez of the opposition Socialist Party. Javier Diaz Gimenez, former economic advisor to the Spanish prime minister's office tells us where it all went wrong for Mr Rajoy. We hear about coffee giants Starbucks and Costa's ambitious plans to grow in China. Plus we look back at the rest of the week's big business stories with Elaine Moore of the Lex column at the Financial Times in London, and Peter Coy, Bloomberg Businessweek business editor, in New York.
