Brexit discussions continue in UK Parliament

Newsday

Available for over a year

The British government is to hold a new vote on Brexit today, the final attempt to get the withdrawal agreement through the House of Commons. The speaker ruled that the vote could take place as the motion considered just the withdrawal agreement, not the future political relationship between London and Brussels. And Newsday is joined by a photographer who is about to pick up a prestigious Infinity Award from the International Centre of Photography in New York. A group in Malawi has launched the Women’s Manifesto Group ahead of elections on May 21st. The group’s platform seeks to get issues that are important to women onto a male-dominated political agenda.
