Two weeks on, Mozambique still reeling from Cyclone Idai

Newsday

Available for over a year

It’s been two weeks since Cyclone Idai ripped through Mozambique. The port city of Beira suffered particularly badly, and now people are working to bring the city back to life. The big fear now is a mass cholera outbreak. The British government is to hold a new vote on Brexit today, the final attempt to get the withdrawal agreement through the House of Commons. The speaker ruled that the vote could take place as the motion considered just the withdrawal agreement, not the future political relationship between London and Brussels. Efforts are underway in Uganda to have a tiny chapel listed as the world’s smallest church on the Guinness Book of Records. It can only accommodate three people, including the priest.
