First victims of Christchurch mosque attacks lain to rest

The first funerals have been held for some of the victims of the two mass shootings at mosques in New Zealand. There's been criticism of the authorities for delays in returning the victims' bodies to their families for a speedy burial. The United Nations says the cyclone that has ravaged parts of southern Africa is possibly the worst weather-related disaster ever to hit the region. According to US-backed forces in the Syria, the last section of territory held by so-called Islamic State has fallen. However, some reports suggest there are still clashes ongoing in and around Baghouz in eastern Syria.
