Forty people killed in New Zealand mosque attacks

Newsday

Available for over a year

Forty people have been killed at mass shootings at two mosques in the city of Christchurch, police in New Zealand have confirmed. Cyclone Idai has been sweeping across south-eastern Africa over the last few days. It has already claimed the lives of about 100 people in Malawi and Mozambique and has just made landfall in the City of Beira, Mozambique's fourth largest. The British Prime Minister Theresa May will try to persuade MPs for a third time to back her Brexit deal over the coming days. The Commons will vote on her withdrawal agreement by 20 March, after previously rejecting it by 230 and then 149 votes.
