A state of emergency has been declared in parts of Burkina Faso, after increasing attacks from Islamist gunmen. Ethiopia has declared a day of mourning for the one-hundred-and-fifty-seven passengers and crew who were killed in the Ethiopian Airlines crash near Addis Ababa on Sunday.
