North Korea Ready to Make Nuclear Concessions, According to US Special Envoy

Newsday

Available for over a year

The US special envoy for North Korea has set out the steps Washington wants Pyongyang to take towards denuclearisation. Stephen Biegun said the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, had already pledged to dismantle and destroy its uranium and plutonium enrichment facilities, but this was dependent on corresponding measures from the United States. A US court has ruled that the Syrian Government was responsible for the death of American journalist Marie Colvin and French photographer Remi Ochlik during an airstrike on the Syrian city of Homs. And Newsday is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia today to take the pulse of this fast-changing capital city.
