Tens of thousands of students are expected to walk out of schools today, to highlight a lack of action over the environment. It all started with a 16 year old Swedish schoolgirl, Greta Thunberg. The Venezuelan opposition leader, Juan Guaido, has raised the prospect of an amnesty for President Maduro if he agrees to relinquish power. Australia is experiencing an extreme heatwave, with temperatures peaking at 49.5 degrees Celsius in one place in the south-east of the country.
