In Indonesia over 250 people have died and more than 1000 are injured following a tsunami which hit coastal towns along the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra. Today in Myanmar, two Reuters journalists jailed for 7 years in a widely-condemned ruling are appealing against their conviction. Protests continue in Sudan over the cost of living, with police firing teargas on Sunday in the capital Khartoum.
