Global Share Sell-off Gathers Pace

A global share sell-off has gathered pace, with fresh losses in Europe and the US. The Financial Times' US Managing Editor Gilian Tett tells us what is spurring investors to sell. Also in the programme, a court battle has begun in San Francisco that pits Waymo, part of Google's parent company, Alphabet, against the ride-sharing firm Uber. BBC North America Technology reporter Dave Lee gives us the latest from outside the courtroom. We have a report exploring the risks associated with pension funds investing in products linked to devastating weather events and other catastrophes. There have been protests in Kenya over the government's closure for much of the past week of three television stations. Larry Madowo is a presenter at one of the affected stations, NTV, and explains the background to the dispute. Plus, the Berlin Wall has now been down for longer than it was actually up.
