Bombardier Wins Aircraft Tariffs Battle

World Business Report

Available for over a year

Washington's International Trade Commission overturns a decision to impose an almost 300% tariff on imports of the Canadian aircraft manufacturer's C-Series aircraft. Rival Boeing had complained that Bombardier was selling the planes at below cost price. All this just hours after President Trump laid out his vision for the future of trade in Davos, Switzerland. What does the ruling mean for his America First message? Chad Bown, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, explains. From India we hear why some of the country's richest businessmen and film stars will be spending millions of dollars on cricket players in the Indian Premier League this weekend. Plus we look back at the rest of the week's big business stories with Hal Hodson of The Economist in London, and Akane Otani from the Wall Street Journal in New York.
