Apple to Pay $38bn on Foreign Cash Pile

World Business Report

Available for over a year

Apple is to bring billions of dollars back to the US, and pay a $38bn tax bill as a result. We get analysis from Thomas Brennan, a law professor specialising in tax policy at Harvard University, and Matthew Gardner, senior fellow at the Washington research group the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy. Also in the programme, we have a report from Ivory Coast, where low cocoa prices are blamed for farmers taking drastic and illegal measures. As the fashion industry discovers the selling power of plus size models, Olympic discus thrower Brett Morse discusses his new career. Plus technology journalist Rupert Goodwins tells us about Nintendo's latest innovation, a range of cardboard accessories for its Switch console. (Picture: An Apple sign.
