New Protests as Iran Plays Down Unrest

World Business Report

Available for over a year

After a fifth day of demonstrations, violence has flared in several parts of Iran. We have analysis of the economic roots of the turmoil from Sanam Vakil, associate fellow at the Chatham House think tank, and Ghanbar Naderi, political editor of Kayhan newspaper in Tehran. Also in the programme, China has banned the import of millions of tonnes of plastic waste. Simon Ellin from the Recycling Association explains what impact it will have in places like the UK, which relied heavily on China to handle its recycling needs. We have a report from Mozambique on a UNESCO World Heritage site that receives very few visitors. Plus Greg Buchanan, founder of IT company BitSol, tells us why as part of a growing trend, he offers his employees paid 'pawternity' leave when they get a new pet. (Picture: Protests in Tehran.
