World Business Report

Available for over a year

Discussions over US proposals to reform the North American Free Trade Agreement will now continue next year. Differences between the US, Canada and Mexico remain unresolved after the latest round of talks in Arlington, Virginia. We get analysis from Soumaya Keynes at The Economist. South Africa's parliament is beginning an inquiry into alleged corruption in government. We hear what sort of allegations the inquiry will be examining. Also in the programme, Japan goes to the polls this weekend. Our regular economic commentator Roger Bootle of Capital Economics tells us how the country's economy is likely to affect the vote. Plus, there are indications that China no longer wants to process recyclable material shipped from all over the world. We have a report on the likely impact on a country like the UK.
