Campaign to reopen pub linked to Dick Turpin

Available for over a year

Residents and local representatives in Sibson have been voicing their concerns over the continued closure and deterioration of a historic pub in their village. The grade II-listed Cock Inn has sat empty since its closure in 2019 following 750 years of rich history which included regular visits from highwayman Dick Turpin. More than 1000 people have signed a petition calling on owners Star Pubs & Bars to invest and repair the building, with the firm pledging to reopen the venue but only once a new tenant has been secured. Residents in Sibson have talked about the importance the pub holds to the village along with Jonathan Collett from a group called “Save Our Pub”. Reporter: Ben Jackson
