"Quite monumental going from prison to Parliament"

Available for over a year

Charlie Herd talks to our communities reporter Chris Craddock about how she's joined a national campaign to help others like herself who have ADHD and ended up in the prison system. Head of States of Jersey Prison Service and La Moye Prison Governor, Paul Yates, says his department doesn't "currently have access to a formal neurodivergence screening tool" but they're "indicative rather than diagnostic" and "more collaborative work is needed" to diagnosis those in prison. Yates adds "more work is needed to strengthen earlier and consistent identification" and the department "remain open to discussion and evidence-based recommendations".
