Farmer's epic walk gets royal donation
Available for over a year
One man, 142 miles and a message of hope, from Herefordshire to London. Sam Stables trekked from Ross-on-Wye to London, raising awareness of mental health in the agricultural industry. He carried a backpack with words such as 'finances', 'weather', 'exhaustion' and 'loneliness' to portray some of the struggles that farmers go through on a daily basis. Sam even received a mention in parliament, from Hereford & South Herefordshire MP Jesse Norman. Prince William donated £5,000 to Sam's cause, fundraising for the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.
