Hazel O’Connor's legacy celebrated

Available for over a year

A new exhibition celebrating the career of Coventry singer Hazel O’Connor comes to the Coventry Music Museum. 'Being Hazel', which runs until the end of the year, explores her rise to fame in the 1980s, her film breakthrough in Breaking Glass, and her career‑defining hits including Eighth Day and Will You. The display also reflects on her recovery following a brain bleed in 2022. Fans will be able to see rare memorabilia, watch Breaking Glass on the big screen, and enjoy live performances as the museum celebrates one of Coventry’s most iconic performers. BBC CWR's Vic Minett spoke to Heather's saxophonist Clare Hirst and Pete Chambers at Coventry Music Museum.
