'Is following Hereford FC for people like me?'

Available for over a year

KD Rai has been supporting Hereford FC for 21 years, but says he cannot follow the club 'for now' after he heard racist chants from bulls fans in a game in December 2025. A police investigation is under way. KD Rai, who describes himself as an Asian Hereford fan, posted an open letter online calling out those behind the chants. Stewart Kingscott reports. Hereford FC chairman Chris Ammonds tells Tammy Gooding that the fans responsible are 'a small mindless minority whose behaviour will not be tolerated'. He added how he's been in personal contact with KD and that the club is doing 'all that it can' to support the police. In response to the incident, South Wales Police said they are aware of alleged racist chanting at the game between Merthyr Town FC and Hereford FC. They added 'a suspect has been identified and interviewed, investigations into the incident are on-going'. Image credit: KD Rai
