A new study has found that so-called "gifted learning" dogs can understand dozens of new words through overhearing human conversation. Scientists at the University of Vienna observed that some dogs learn vocabulary in the same way as young children. Lead researcher Dr Shany Dror discusses her findings with the Weekend panel.
