Peopleton waste site: Land owner speaks out

Available for over a year

A huge mound of industrial waste has been dumped on a small Worcestershire village. The owner of that land says within 'a few months', the problem will be sorted out. The Environment Agency is investigating several suspected illegal waste dumping sites in south Worcestershire, including one in Evesham, one in Wadborough and another in Peopleton, where villagers are up in arms over the matter. The Peopleton site has been used as a dumping ground for around 18 months. The Environment Agency says it is working alongside police and councils in Worcestershire to tackle the problem, saying "suspected illegal waste sites" are a "scar" on communities.
