Comedian Arabella Weir: ‘I absolutely detest the Gherkin’

Arabella Weir was born in 1957 San Francisco to Scottish parents. Her father was a diplomat and the family spent time in Washington, Cairo and Bahrain. Arabella came to London aged 11; she was a pupil at the Camden School for Girls, where her mother was a teacher, and then studied drama at Middlesex Polytechnic. She got her TV break on the comedy series The Fast Show, and afterwards became known for her roles in Posh Nosh and Two Doors Down. She’s written several books, including Does My Bum Look Big in This? Arabella Weir reveals her favourite haunts, memories, pet hates and everything in between with Robert Elms.
