Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky says territory remains the most difficult issue facing the US led peace talks. Ukraine has repeatedly rejected previous Russian demands to give up the regions of Luhansk and Donetsk – also known as the Donbas. Seizing all the territory remains one of President Putin's goals. Russian forces continue to advance there and now control some 85 percent of the Donbas. The BBC's defence correspondent Jonathan Beale has been talking to Ukrainian soldiers and civilians fighting and living in the region to gauge their reactions to these latest peace talks.
