Dusty Gedge is a difficult man to define. He’s a specialist in green roofs, and more broadly urban green infrastructure, but also an ornithological consultant and nature photographer. Dusty entered the world of green roofs while undertaking a bird survey of Deptford Creek in the late 90s. Since then he’s been on a mission to foster biodiversity on top of London’s buildings. Notably he’s worked on projects in Canary Wharf and King’s Cross. He now advises developers around the world on greening their buildings. Dusty Gedge reveals his favourite haunts, memories, pet hates and everything in between with Robert Elms.
