Is mansion tax fair?

Voice of the UK

Available for over a year

It’s reported that Chancellor Rachel Reeves will use the Budget to introduce a new tax on high-value homes in England. About 2.4 million properties in council tax bands F, G and H could be revalued. It’s thought the tax will apply to properties worth more than £2m, which will affect about 100,000 homes with an average surcharge of £4,500. 5 Live listeners share their thoughts with Nicky Campbell.
