The singer and actress Paloma Faith was born in Hackney in 1981 and grew up in Dalston. She has a degree in Contemporary Dance, and a masters in Theatre Directing. Before launching her career she had an eclectic range of part-time jobs, including as a sales assistant at Agent Provocateur, a singer in a burlesque cabaret, a life model, and a hip-hop dancer. Paloma’s career took off around 2007 when she appeared in the film reboot of St Trinian's; she was signed as a singer in 2008. To date, she’s released six studio albums and in 2015 she won a Brit for Best British Female Solo Artist. Paloma Faith revealed her favourite haunts, memories, pet hates and everything in between with Robert Elms. This interview was first broadcast on BBC Radio London in March 2014.
