Dorset project supporting young people

The Space Youth Project are finalists in the Community Group category in the BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards for 2025. The group offers support to LGBT+ young people in Dorset through youth groups and one to one support services. BBC Radio Solent's Steve Harris has been to meet them. The Community Group Award: Awarded to a group of people who have helped to change the lives of others within their community. The Make a Difference Awards are your chance to say “Thank You” and show recognition and appreciation for people who love to make life better for others. Nominations for the 2025 awards have now closed and finalists have been selected by a panel of judges. The winners will be announced at our BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards ceremony in September.
