Breast cancer ‘shifted my perspective’ on tennis

Not by the Playbook

Available for over a year

Grand Slam doubles champions Gaby Dabrowski overcame breast cancer in the last 12 months, but how has going through that changed her outlook on life? The 32-year-old Canadian, who is a three-time major champion, was diagnosed in April 2024, but after two surgeries and a three-month break from the WTA Tour, she returned to win the Nottingham grass-court title alongside New Zealand's Erin Routliffe in her first tournament back. She told Sportshour's Shabnam Younus-Jewell about the process of her recovery.
