Greenland's historic new airport

BBC OS

Available for over a year

Greenland has opened the first of three new airports planned between now and 2026. Nuuk's new international airport means that getting to Greenland will become simpler, faster and cheaper. The city sits roughly four hours from the US and four hours from Europe. We speak to owners of the nearby Hotel Aurora, Klaus and Anita Iversen, alongside the editor in chief of national newspaper Sermitsiaq Masaana Egede to get a sense of how they're preparing for more visitors.
