Maximalist to Modernist: Exploring London's lost interiors
London UncoveredAvailable for over a year
Lavish Victorian drawing rooms and boudoirs, Oriental & Moorish themed rooms featuring exotic materials, Edwardian libraries, smoking rooms, and Art Deco apartments. London's interior design history has now been documented in a book called 'London: Lost Interiors', which features unseen images of some of the capital's most interesting interiors. It's a window into London life from 1880-1940, before many of these magnificent interiors were destroyed or stripped out and lost forever. BBC Radio London's Robert Elms has been finding out more.
