‘One of a kind’ for the River Severn

Available for over a year

Volunteers say if they can't maintain 'Doris' the Worcester Cathedral ferry, she'll die. The ferry service has been in operation in various guises for a thousand years, between Diglis and Chapter Meadows. Its future is in jeopardy, according to the people who run the service, as they are in desperate need for somewhere safe to store the boat during the winter, as well as volunteers to ferry people across the River Severn. Charlotte Broadbent reports, alongside Ferry Master Stephen Cope and Ferry Man Barney Burnham, on the water.
