Take a trip back to 1989 in Birmingham
Available for over a year
Cast your mind back to 1989. What were you up to on an average Friday night? Watching the soaps maybe? Or talking to your friends on the landline -- remember those? Or did you ever find yourself in a field raving the night away? For anyone nostalgic for the West Midland's acid house rave scene, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery has opened a new exhibition called In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats. It's a exhibition with a bit of a difference -- it all takes place in a virtual reality. Eve Webster has strapped on some VR goggles to travel back 1989 to learn about how the West Midland's became a hub for rave culture.
