Capturing the magic of engineless sailing

Julie Skentelbery

Available for over a year

The film 'Wind, Tide & Oar' is about engineless sailing - sailing without auxiliary power - it was made on a 1960s wind-up Bolex camera by Huw Wahl. He was introduced to sailing by his sister Rose Ravetz, on her Falmouth quay punt 'Defiance'. The pair have been chatting with Julie about the film. 'Wind, Tide & Oar' will be shown at CAST in Helston until Saturday 10 August. The film is just under one and a half hours in length and there will be free screenings starting at 10am, 11.30am and 2.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, with additional screenings at 4pm and 6pm on Tuesdays. No booking required.
