Scientists have recently discovered a long-buried branch of the Nile river that once flowed beside the Egyptian pyramids. It's been dubbed the Ahramat Branch, with 'Ahramat' meaning 'pyramids' in Arabic. Tim Ralph is an associate professor in environmental science at Macquarie University in Sydney.
