How can you prevent pumpkins going to waste this Halloween?

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

It's getting towards that time of year again and many people are looking forward to it! Halloween is just around the corner! Preparations are already underway for businesses across Leicestershire, who are hoping to cash in on the Festival. However, green campaigners are asking us to consider what we'll do with our Pumpkins after the 31st October. The Environmental Charity HubHub has said that around 15 million pumpkins bought for carving this Halloween won’t be eaten and will go to waste. Ady Dayman caught up with Farmer James Ludlam who is the owner of the Cattows farm in Heather to find out how they have prepared for pumpkin season, as well as Mark Breen from HubHub to find out about the environmental implications.
