Verity Lambert has become a legendary name in British Television drama. One of the first female drama producers at the BBC, she not only helmed Doctor Who through its infancy but went on to produce shows such as Adam Adamant Lives! and The Cazalets. A switch to ITV saw her produce another great TV institution, Minder. In later years her name could be seen on the credits of Jonathan Creek and Love Soup. In 1987 she was the subject of Radio 4’s Profile series, looking back at her career so far. This programme features language and attitudes of the time that some may find offensive.
