Taiwanese comedian Brian Tseng: 'Thank you Isis for recognising us as a country'

The Arts Hour

Available for over a year

Comedian Brian Tseng is a pioneer. He was the host of Taiwan's first-ever political satire TV Show, The Night, Night Show, and founded the Two Three Comedy Club, Taipei's first bilingual stand-up comedy venue. He was the first Taiwanese comedian to appear on Comedy Central Asia and has just finished a tour in Australia. He tells Nikki Bedi that with The Night, Night Show, he wanted to create "a platform that we could talk about the same serious issues but with a lighter tone." He jokes about the 'c' word and why the Taiwanese were happy to learn that Taiwan was on Isis's list of countries that they were going to attack next.
