Haymarket theatre's lights on once again

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

More than three years since the lights were last on, it's a big day for the Haymarket Theatre as it finally re-opens. It was announced during the summer that the Addict Dance Academy would use the site to house more than 600 students, who officially start their autumn term soon. It's 50 years in October since the Theatre opened it's doors for the first time. Addict Dance Academy will pay the city council a licence fee to cover the costs associated with reopening the theatre, which has been shut since the pandemic. Gareth Chown is the Principal and Founder of the Academy and joined Ady to tell him more.
