Ashby Lido summer season comes to an end

The summer swimming season is drawing to a close at Ashby Lido. The heated outdoor pool at Ashby Leisure Centre has been open all summer since the end of May. This year the Lido underwent a £105,000 refurbishment - having its fibreglass skin replaced to prolong the pools lifespan. The pool's heating will be switched off after Sunday 3rd September, although the pool will remain open throughout September for cold water 'lane' swimming. Ashby Lido's general manager Adam Knight tells BBC Radio Leicester's Sara Palmer how the summer season has gone.
