Leicester’s Belgrave Mela is back

Thousands of people will head to Belgrave this weekend for the annual Leicester Mela Festival. The Mela is a celebration of South Asian and Indian culture - from music and dancing to a market selling everything from food to jewellery, Sunday's event will bring together communities from across the City. The festival takes place off of the back of South Asian Heritage Month which also celebrates the culture, history and achievements of South Asians. Ady Dayman has been to meet Jayna Patel and a group of women from the 'Jayna Dance Academy' who are performing at the event.
