Episode details

Available for over a year
Over the summer months Leicester's Abbey Park plays host to a Summer funfair featuring travelling rides, stalls and other entertainments. The attraction is brought to the city by showman Billy Bates and Sons. It's been a topsy turvy summer so far when it comes to the weather - a boiling hot June, a wet July and an up and down August. This means that the funfair workers have had their work cut out to stay open. Ben Jackson paid them a vist and spoke to managing director Kennedy Bates about how the weather has affected them.
