Train firms are planning mass closures of ticket offices in our area affecting stations such as Stafford, Stoke and Crewe. Owen Sloss is from the the North Staffs Pensioners' Convention who oppose the plans. A spokesperson for the Rail Delivery Group said "The ways our customers buy tickets has changed and it's time for the railway to change with them" A spokesperson for Avanti West Coast said "“The proposals for Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, and Stafford, which are subject to consultation, are part of industry-wide reforms to the way tickets are retailed and the interaction our people will have with customers."
