Leicester children vote 'Frankie’s World' as best book of 2022

Children from more than 50 primary schools in Leicester have been voting for the book they enjoyed the most during 2022/23. The annual 'Our Best Book' competition asked children aged 10-11 to vote for their favourite reads from a longlist of 12 carefully selected books.The final vote saw more than 3,000 children choosing their best book. The winning book is 'Frankie’s World' by Aoife Dooley. The acclaimed comedian’s graphic novel gives a fresh and funny perspective on fitting in, and standing out, when you’re living with autism. Matthew Vaughan from Leicester's libraries' service explains more about the competition to Summaya Mughal.
