'The LGBT community is loved and welcome in Ashby'

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

Ashby-de-la-Zouch is to host its first ever Pride event this summer. Around 15 businesses and venues are already backing the first celebration of its kind in Ashby on Saturday July 1st - the 51st anniversary of the UK's first Pride event in 1972. It follows Oakham in Rutland which hosted its first Pride in 2022. Ashby's festival is the latest addition to a busy and successful calendar of community events in the market town. Callum Prince is one of the organisers and explained to Ady Dayman what's going to be happening.
