1: Nikki goes missing in Sunderland

Sharon remembers how they’d visited Nikki’s grandparents flat and Nikki returned home a few minutes before her mum. When Sharon got home Nikki was nowhere to be found. Panic started to set in and neighbours joined the police in an all-night search for the little girl. A local teenager found her body in a derelict building the next morning.
