'I can see the benefits'

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

There's plans for a major new development alongside one of our most popular country parks. Developers have submitted plans to build a warehouse and logistics park on what is currently lakes and grass land between Watermead Country Park and the A607. Wanlip Holdings says it will provide around 900 new jobs in the area, but park users fear it will bring more pollution, and fumes to the area. Brenda Seaton is a Conservative councillor in Thurmaston. You can put in your comments on the proposed development on Charnwood's website until 24th May.
