Did you know that there are more than 180 islands dotted along the River Thames? Some of them are nature reserves, others are privately owned – and many of them are tiny, only accessible by boat. One of the most interesting, is a two-acre island near Weybridge, once home to a giant of musical theatre. Lewis Mason met up with new owner Andy Hill, who has big ambitions to share this unique location.
