12 year old best friends raising money in Leicester to help children with cancer.

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

Leicester City are taking on Everton at the King Power as they continue their bid to stay in the Premier League. But there will be a couple of special visitors at the ground for the match. Hughie and Freddie have raised thousands for charity, after Hughie was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2020. His best mate Freddie decided to challenge himself to run 2k every day to raise money for the Royal Manchester Childrens hospital charity. Hundreds of thousands of pounds and a 'Pride of Britain' award later, they're visiting Leicester's King Power stadium. That's because their current fundraising venture is a 100km challenge together, touring the UK to run 1km around each Premier League and English Football League club. Leicester is 25th on their list. Hughie and Freddie tell Ady how the money they raise is going to help Leicester's Children's Hospital, and how they started their fundraising journey.
